Frank Joseph Polozola

Frank Joseph Polozola (born 1942) is a United States federal judge.

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Polozola received an LL.B. from Louisiana State University Law School in 1965. He was a law clerk, Hon. E. Gordon West, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Louisiana from 1965 to 1966. He was in private practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 1966 to 1973. He was a Professor, Louisiana State University Law Center from 1977 to the present.

Polozola was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. Polozola was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on April 2, 1980, to a seat vacated by Elmer Gordon West. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on May 21, 1980, and received his commission on May 23, 1980. He served as chief judge from 1998-2005. He assumed senior status on January 15, 2007.
